Nelson Mandela's illness left the nation worried
Nelson Mandela is recovering well at home after being released from hospital earlier this month, his wife has said.
"He's doing well," Graca Machel said after giving a speech on neonatal care just outside Johannesburg."That's why I am here."
Mr Mandela returned home on April 6 after a 10-day stay in hospital, where he was treated for pneumonia.

The 94-year-old former president and anti-apartheid leader is currently receiving looked after at his Johannesburg home.
Mr Mandela was rushed to hospital late on March 27 suffering from a recurrence of a lung infection.
It was his third health scare since December, leaving many worried about the increasingly frail health of a man widely seen as the father of modern South Africa.
In early March he went to hospital briefly for a check-up and in December he was hospitalised for nearly three weeks with a lung infection and following surgery to remove gallstones.
The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate became South Africa's first black president in 1994. He stepped down in 1999 and has not been politically active for a decade.
His lung problems date from when he contracted tuberculosis while being held as a political prisoner.
He spent 27 years on Robben Island and in other jails for his attempts to overthrow the white-minority government.
Ms Machel is his third wife.
